Volunteering with the Friends of Franklin Foundation is a great way to make friends, support your children’s learning, and have a positive impact on the community. We would love to have your help supporting Franklin students!

Executive Board Secretary Attend monthly Board meetings, record minutes of all meetings, proceedings and actions of the Board.
Translators (Spanish or Vietnamese) Flexible hours (~1 hour per month) during the school year and no meetings to attend. Accurately translate communications to the diverse Franklin community.
PTA Liason: Attend PTA and Foundation meetings and share communications and updates with members; Coordinate on shared projects.
Community Communications Flexible hours and no meetings! Help us communicate what is happening with us by hanging up posters in the community and around the school. We will provide all the materials you need.
Sponsorships Flexible hours and flexible meetings! Work with a small group of people to network with local businesses, companies and community members to find, secure and maintain sponsorships. We will be updating materials together.
Jog-A-Thon (October) Help with our fall fundraiser. Volunteer on the planning committee or the day of the event. October 25, 2024
Holiday Light Bike Ride (December) Help share information, hand out goodies and assist attendees at a local event. One day in December, for 2-4 hours.
Earth Day Booth at Kensington Park (April) Help share information with the community at a local event. One day in April, for 2-4 hours.
Spring Walkabout on Adams Ave Booth (April) Help share information with the community at a local event. One day in April, for 2-4 hours.
STEAM Night (May) Help share information with the families at the school for one night in May for 2-4 hours.
Franklin Fiesta Fundraiser (May) Flexible hours and 3-4 meetings from March-May; Help with our spring fundraiser. Many options to help from gathering donations for the silent auction, planning and gathering the decorations, to building the auction baskets, and helping with ticket sales.
